Welcome to Thrive Nutrition Mentoring. My name is Nikki and I’m a HCPC Registered Dietitian from the Isle of Man. I studied at Leeds Metropolitan University where I gained a First Class BSc (Hons) degree in Dietetics. I’ve been a Dietitian for over six years now and I have worked with a variety of people across the life span in the British Isles, New Zealand and Australia.
I’m a complete foodie and I have a real passion for cooking and baking. I love the way food can bring people together and the nutritional power it has in making our bodies function at their best. I also love science. I thoroughly enjoy breaking down the biochemistry of nutrition and the physiology of human bodies to turn it into practical dietary advice.
I practice the non-dieting approach to health. I have a particular interest in eating behaviour, and helping people make peace with their body and food. I specialise in helping people recover from the effects of dieting, learn how to eat intuitively and build a balanced relationship with food.
My Clinical Experience has covered
- Eating disorders and disordered eating
- Mental health
- Gastroenterology (including IBS, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and coeliac disease)
- Heart disease
- Cancer therapy
- Older persons health
- Nutrition before and after surgery
I use my training, clinical experience, compassion and appetite for delicious and nutritious food to guide and inspire you in your journey to reach your goals.
